OppJar was created by and for parents. Our small group of founders know how hard it is to balance work, family, and a better tomorrow. We studied; became entrepreneurs, attorneys, and technologists; and want the best for our children and ALL children. This is why we created OppJar.

Through OppJar, you’ll have the ability to open an investment account for your child(ren) [My Child page] with the option to create a ‘Public Page’ to share with friends and family to become ‘Gift Givers’ to your child. Members of your "village" can also share words of inspiration on the child’s Memories page that is archived for access during adulthood. At age 18, the child gains access to both treasures of inspiration and financial gifts.

OppJar makes creating a brighter future easier. We know parenting can be demanding and exhausting. It's the hardest job on the planet! And parents of young children, in particular, need support. OppJar helps.

OppJar activates your family’s “village.” We make it easy to use social media, email, special events and more in a new way -- to support your child(ren) and their future. Unlike most investment apps, we empower parents/guardians to promote monetary gifts for the benefit of your child.

Throughout your OppJar journey, you, family and friends can post encouraging and loving messages, images, and videos that get stored in a digital scrapbook your child can take into adulthood. It’s a new way to preserve the past and gift it into the future.

Gifts to an OppJar account can be accessed by your child(ren) at age 18 and be used to help finance most any dream--education, entrepreneurship, public service, artistic or athletic pursuits, volunteerism, travel, and more. Every gift is invested in an investment account controlled by the child at the age of 18. And we help maximize the number of gifts by harnessing the power of social media in support of your OppJar-related goals.

INVEST IN GOOD
OppJar not only helps a parent/guardian and related children but also makes a positive impact. Monetary gifts to an OppJar account (in lieu of gifts at birthday parties or elsewhere) are good for the environment. Less plastic! The process also activates a broader support network of family, friends, and even corporate sponsors. And finally, the OppJar team seeks socially responsible investment opportunities whenever possible. We want the best for our future generations.
